APRV: safety built into the valve

Dolium one-way kegs carry an innovative and patented APRV (Automatic Pressure Relief Valve). It opens automatically at 5 bar during storage or transport, and closes again by itself at 2 bar.

It can also be opened by hand, to depressurise the keg when empty. That re-closable safety system is unique among one-way kegs.

Three barriers in one wall

The body is Invista PET Polyshield blended with 5% MXD6 Polyamide. Together they protect flavour and carbonation in transit.

Active oxygen barrier

Invista PET Polyshield scavenges oxygen inside the wall, so aroma and colour are protected instead of slowly fading.

Passive CO₂ barrier

5% MXD6 Polyamide holds carbonation in, at a CO₂ loss of less than 5% after 6 months.

UV protection

Built into the body, so no light damage to a wine, a cold brew or a hoppy beer.
